Communicating Love
Scripture Reading - John 14:22-26 KJV
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The most important honor we have is we get to communicate with our Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and God’s Holy Spirit. Since the Lord judges the heart His communication is primarily focused on our heart (our intentions, our motives, our beliefs, etc…) rather than exactly what we say out loud. We (ihlcc) believe that the “communication of love” is one of the most powerful languages we can speak. For love does not need a lot of fancy speeches but it thrives on demonstrations of gentleness, goodness, peace, joy, meekness, self-control and tangible faith. We should always transmit love as well as being receptors to the good things of God. We should not transmit evil nor should we receive evil from the hearts and mouths of those who would do us harm. We are always practicing this “communication of love” with ourselves having inner communications within our heart. What you are communicating to those around you is very important to men, but what kind of message are you communicating to yourself is vitally important to God. What we communicate to our inner man affect us in a positive or a negative way. Remember verse 23 states, “If we love God we will keep His Words” which means we will love ourselves primarily because God loves us. This “communication of love” will cultivate the Presence of God because His Word, His Love and His Person is one. When we mediate on the negative things of this world it will repel the Spirit of God (His Presence) and invite the negative forces of the evil one into our inner court. We are living epistles of God’s Word that purpose to demonstrate His Love to mankind. Therefore the message we are portraying to the world we live in and to the Kingdom of God living inside of us is vitally important. We all can take inventory on the way we present ourselves to others, as well as on how we present ourselves to the Lord. You should not be deceived, dear child of God, how you present yourself to God is exactly how you present yourself to you. Selah. God created us to be creative through the “communication of love” because what good is God’s Word if His Spirit is not empowering His Word. The Good Lord has given us the ability to rule and rein in this earth but all our efforts must be motivated by love, rather than selfish inclinations. Let us strive to be aware of how we come across to others by “communicating love” to be above reproach to those He puts in our pathway. First we must purpose to transmit the “communication of love” to ourselves, to our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ then let that River of Life reach outward through our words and deeds to bless all those who need a touch from God. Remember dear saint what you are full of you will manifest, so start from within to conclude with everyday people without by sharing God’s Love with all mankind. Be a true witness of God to yourself first and then all those around you by “communicating love” so when you need to talk you transmit God’s Heart by way of His Words. Amen!
